Sound Bath Update

Last year, I made it my goal to bring sound bath meditations to as many university campuses as I could comfortably manage. Between that, and my full-time course load in speech-language-pathology, a part-time job, managing the community orchard, volunteering to feed the hungry, and maintaining some semplance of a social life, I also completed a Sound Healer certification (yes, 20 years after I began playing singing bowls AND teaching others to use them in meditation).

So, 2022 was a busy year. But I was able to do several campus sessions, both for remuneration and pro bono. Half  a dozen campuses were treated to the meditative sound of the bowls, and I have booked recurriing sessions at  a few schools, and added two more in 2023.

This year, my schedule promises to stay equally full, but I plan to have more sound sessions with professionals. Last year I facilitated a few at non-profit organizations and for educational departments, but this is something different. Workhshops and professional development (PD). So my sound bath sessions will be but part of the trainings in everyday mindful practices. I'm relying on my years as an educator, PD developer, trainer, and instructional designer for this. My first morning-long gig is in the works, and I have been invited to two retreats...I won't say much yet, as things are in the planning stages, BUT my fingers are crossed for an educator conference is France, late this year. Actually everything is crossed.

In related news, the curriculum that I designed for morning-long workshop is a condensed version of the 6-week course that I wrote for a local university. I hope to be teaching Everyday Mindfulness and Sound Bath Meditation in the warmer part of this year!!!
