This is Weird, It's Disappeared:
Whatever it is, I'll take it. |
I hopped from bed and decided to—against all past preferences and prior levels of discomfort—head out to our community farmer’s market, without a human buffer or anything. Springing up on a sunny Saturday morning I dressed in something cute and took off from our little house, to go out and meet the people. At the market I waved hello to folks and stopped to film sway to-and film a couple of buskers (on my own!)
The following day, hubby and I hiked to a nearby eatery and I popped inside and strolled past hordes of folks to grab a seat next to my mentor, Gigi and her husband. I wasn’t nervous or sweaty, or at all bothered by the crowd.
The following week, same thing: girl date at a crowded eatery one day, followed by a solo trip to the farmer's market the next, and a sporting event the day after. So, what the heck happened to me?!
What Could be the Cause:
- Perhaps this is another symptom of long-Covid.
- Maybe my anxiety had been related to my womb (which is now gone).
- My anxiety may have been another negative consequence of age-old PTSD, that no longer serves me...who knows?
Whatever it is, I’m enjoying the respite from social anxiety. Yeehaw!
And here are the buskers: hubby and his mentor Mike, at the farmer's market:
